Vinyl ceramic tile (VCT) and concrete floors are durable if properly cleaned daily. Sweeping, wet mopping, scrubbing and high-speed buffing are the keys to avoiding damage to your floor. Grit on a floor's surface will scuff and dull the appearance over time.
Scrubbing and high-speed buffing will help maintain a floor’s glossy appearance and harden floor finish for durability.

VCT FLOOR STRIPPING AND WAXING
Floor care such as stripping and waxing requires training and experience. An improperly waxed floor can result in even more damage. If the finish layers are added too quickly, or not correctly, a tacky residue can be left behind to pick up more dirt and leave floors looking dirty and dull. A cheap, uneven or thin layer will wear down too quickly, leaving floor surfaces exposed for damage.
Scrub and wax
Scrubbing and waxing quickly improves floors by removing the top layer or two of old floor finish along with stains and superficial scratches; leaving a clean surface. New finish is then applied to restore the glossy appearance and protective top coat.
Strip, seal and refinish
This procedure is like a scrub and re-coat, except the finish is completely removed so the bare tile or base flooring is exposed and cleaned. The floor is then sealed and several coats of quality finish are applied.
